What you will be doing
  • Provide technical leadership for the software test team throughout software development life cycle.
  • Accountable for the definition and implementation of different software testing techniques to increase product quality, test speed and coverage.
  • Use software testing techniques to maximize test coverage with optimal effort in both automation and manual testing.
  • Lead and implement automation framework, test tool and automation scripts
  • Work within agile development framework with tools such as Jira to ensure completion of software testing activities within sprints.
  • Develop and deliver all SW Verification deliverables to support regulatory submission.
  • Understand the technical behavior of the system, architecture, software requirements with an aptitude to identify product defects in all phases of development.
  • Develop and monitor software quality metrics.
  • Manage defects throughout software development life cycle.
  • Coordination dry runs and formal Verification activities as required.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams to develop and execute test plans based on deliverable requirements and acceptance criteria
What you will bring along
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in the medical device industry or other regulated industries which require formalized software development processes and software risk management is highly desirable
  • 2+ years of Automation Testing experience or 4+ years of Manual Testing experience
  • Hands-on experience with implementing in-house test automation frameworks and tools
  • Experience testing web and desktop applications
  • Thorough understanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.
  • Strong understanding of good documentation practices, various off the shelf test management systems
  • Experience working with automation testing and code coverage frameworks such as squish and squish coco.
  • Experience in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to listen to and appreciate ideas and opinions that differ from yours.

  • Ability to speak formally to executive management as well as the ability to build relationships with individual contributors
  • Able to share your experience and knowledge and convince others based on data

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to use deductive reasoning to identify possible sources of a problem and then work toward a solution
  • Ability to build a case to support your findings and convince others, including senior management, to make changes based on your technical and business process recommendations
  • Ability to work with cross cultural international teams and time zones

Preferred additional skills: 

  • Ability to work with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineers when discovering, documenting, and resolving integration issues. 
  • Experience using Jira or MatrixALM for test case creation and management. 
  • Experience utilizing deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks 
  • Familiar with code management repository such as bitbucket  
  • Expert knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance.
