Emam ElHak Abdel Fatah, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, has more than two decades of research and industrial experience in medical device development. With 50+ publications and abstracts in fields of medical imaging, machine learning, anthropology, and orthopedics, he continues to bridge the gap between academia and the industry. With a deep passion for innovation, Dr. Abdel Fatah has a proven track record in building a strategic vision for technologies, evolving ideas into products, and guiding development teams as they bring products through regulatory approvals.

Gary To, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, has experience in diagnostic and surgical instrumentation with sensors and tracking systems. His specialties include the design of instrumented medical implants and surgical tools, as well as developing algorithms for surgical guidance systems. Dr. To takes pride in mentoring new engineers to reach their highest potential. His innovative mindset helps guide tmCMF on our journey to improve surgical planning.

Jon Huber, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, has experience in high volume manufacturing, radiochemistry drug discovery and dosing equipment, medical imaging, virtual reality, and radiofrequency technologies. His career has included four FDA 510(k) approvals, 10 awarded patents, and leadership of an innovation team for a major consumer goods producer. He comes to tmCMF ready to bring his background in both 3D CAD development and mechanical devices to innovate within the CMF patientspecific device design industry.

Lyndsay Bowers, MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, is a focused, well-versed quality assurance professional with close to 15 years of hands-on experience in technical, orthopedic-based applications. She has invaluable experience driving quality assurance in the areas of design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices. Her problemsolving mindset and attention to detail ensure that tmCMF develops solutions with unparalleled product quality and compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. 

April Abboud is a hands-on, dynamic leader with over 20 years of software experience including project management, product development, and technical project leadership. Her proven record of improving processes to enhance revenue, workflow, and customer satisfaction is a testament to her strategic planning and innovation. Her creativity and international business acumen make her a pioneer in our industry.

Michael Johnson, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, has published research in the fields of cartilage imaging, joint replace techniques, 3D ultrasound, and biomechanics. He appreciates development projects ranging from simple applications to the most complex technical solutions. Michael has participated in and managed all aspects of device development from early commercialization to launch, and his support enables tmCMF’s mission of being an industry leader in the surgical planning field.
